The garden supports Hawaiian cultural traditions of land use and plants and conserves the plant resources of traditional Hawaiian cultural activities. You will see over 200 species of plants that grew in the traditional farms and native forests of Kona before Captain Cook arrived in the late 18th century. You will also see displays illustrating the traditional cultivation practices and land management strategies developed to insure sustainability. The garden is part of the world famous Bishop Museum.
Museum Discount Pass Special:
Special ADULT entry rate $5, Kama`aina and military $3, discount valid for up to 2 adults with the Museum Discount Pass. Children 12 and under – Free.
